• Project Kick off (October 2016)
  • Recruitment of all ESRs is complete and Personal development plans have been crafted and have been aligned between the Academic supervisors, Industrial Co-supervisors and the ESRs
  • Ph.D. research plans along with Milestones and deliverables for each of the ESRs have been written, agreed and available.
  • Monthly technical reports are submitted by the ESRs which are submitted to the Consortium confidential sharepoint.
  • Regular Monthly telephone connections between ESRs, Academic Supervisors and Industrial Supervisors, time is used to review the technical programme, align on next steps and address and help needed.
  • Quarterly Face to Face meetings between Technical coordinators and ESRs.
  • Bi-annual Face to Face Meeting are hosted by the consortium partners on a Rota basis. These two days meetings are used to enable deep dive into the technical programmes, provide necessary trainings to the ESRs targets at personal development. These Face to Face meetings also are designed to enable networking and team building between supervisors and ESRs and ESRs with ESRs.
  • To date the consortium has held 5 Face to Face meetings P&G-Newcastle upon Tyne (UK), P&G-Brussels (Belgium), CSGI-Venice International University (Italy), Birmingham (UK) and Ghent (BE).
  • CSGI facilitated the first of two planned Summer Schools in Venice International University in July 2017. The first two days were open to the participants of the Soft Matter Summer School (3-8 July 2017) organised by the Università Ca' Foscari Venezia and Societa' Chimica Italiana (SCI).
  • The second Summer School was held in Ghent in July 2018. The school was jointly organized by KUleuven and UGent.
  • EC mid-term report Review accomplished on the 5ht of July 2018 in Ghent (BE).
  • Secondment of most ESRs has been accomplished.
  • First article was published on August 20th, 2018: "In-Situ High Resolution Dynamic X-ray Microtomographic Imaging of Olive Oil Removal in Kitchen Sponges by Squeezing and Rinsing" to the Special Issue In-Situ X-Ray Tomographic Study of Materials for the journal Materials.
